General Operative

We are currently recruiting for a General Operative (with a forklift license) to join a contract with one of our key clients on a full time, permanent basis in the Dublin 15 area. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of a maintenance contract in a client facing role.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and oversee the execution of scheduled, planned and unplanned work orders for the area of responsibility (work centres) in a timely manner
  • Identify and create corrective work maintenance notifications for plant and equipment as required
  • Partake as instructed, in the site programs such as waste management, water hygiene and/or statutory inspections
  • Provide assistance to others, as directed by the Resource Manager in the areas of general assistance, HVAC filter replacement, fire watch and/or confined spaces
  • Liaise directly with the relevant Team Leader / Senior Operator and the Maintenance Supervisor to agree the schedule and priority of work
  • Participation in the Site Operational Excellence program and all other client site systems as required
  • Ensure that monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met
  • Ensure all works are carried out in a safe, clean and efficient manner while complying with our exceptional standards, policies, rules, procedures, quality and permit to work systems at all times
  • Ensure that the work centre is kept up to date and reflects the actual current status
  • Record all relevant information on the SAP system when completing works
  • Ensure all of the required paperwork is present when works are signed off as complete
  • Report any concerns or issues that may jeopardise the successful operation and/or continuous manufacturing on site, or impact upon the service providers operations or the support given to the client
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, security and relevant Company and client policies to include but not limited to the Health & Safety culture of the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experienced Maintenance Technician
  • Extensive construction experience within a busy environment, minimum of 3 years
  • Must hold a valid counterbalance forklift license along with Safe Pass
  • Exposure to Facilities Management and or Engineering/Construction environments ideal
  • Proven experience in a similar role
