Maintenance Technicians

We are currently recruiting for a number of Maintenance Technicians on a full time, permanent basis to join one of our contracts with a key client based in Shannon, Co. Clare. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment on site, while ensuring the successful operation of machinery to maximise production output. This role consists of both preventative and reactive maintenance and will be responsible for providing a high level of service within a timely manner.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Assist the Facilities Manager in reviewing existing services, specifications, processes, productivity levels and quality control to secure and increase the efficient use of resources
  • Responsible for the repair of industrial production equipment such as Centreless Grinders, Surface Grinders, Lappers, Gearboxes, Bearings and Hydraulics
  • Assist with the implementation of preventative maintenance programmes for all machines in your assigned area
  • Assist with the continuous monitoring of all machinery and equipment within the plant
  • Ensure real time repair of machines and equipment to get them back up and running within an optimum time frame
  • Ability to be proactive and identify faults by applying an immediate fix or making equipment safe
  • Document all aspects of maintenance work carried out and keep management informed of potential issues
  • Adhere to client requests in a timely manner with a strong customer focus
  • Ensure all projects are completed to the highest specification in terms of quality, Health and Safety along with client satisfaction
  • Ensure compliancy with Company systems upon commencement of projects i.e. Safe Work Plans, Risk Assessments – ensure they are completed and saved accordingly
  • Confirm that all safety features on equipment are maintained and operational at all times
  • Responsible for the implementation and adherence of Company quality & safety standards
  • Proactively enhance and improve the service delivered by Sensori Facilities Management
  • Support the Facilities Manager in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establishing excellent working relationships with the client
  • Ensure clear and concise communication with management as to the progress of works allocated and provide continuous feedback to the Facilities Manager/Supervisor
  • Flexibility in working shifts, with potential for late closing, early opening or weekend work, depending on the client’s requirements
  • Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate: Craft – Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting or an equivalent qualification
  • Must have significant experience working as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing or industrial business, preferably within an engineering production environment
  • Must have prior experience working with Centreless Grinders, Surface Grinders, Lappers, Gearboxes, Bearings and Hydraulics
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic maintenance experience is essential
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing processes would be beneficial but not essential while basic electrical knowledge would also be advantageous
  • IT literate with demonstratable experience in automation
  • Proven health & safety awareness with a thorough understanding of quality systems
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Exposure to Facilities Management and or Engineering/Construction environments crucial
