MECHANICAL ENGINEER

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Division on a full-time permanent contract. The successful applicant will be predominately based in the Dublin area but will be expected to travel to meet the needs of the business. The successful applicant will gain both office and site experience as they provide support to the broader mechanical team.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist with the planning of works to include design, procurement, installation, commissioning right through to handover in line with both Company and client procedure
  • Provide support to the design review, validation and management of the design development
  • Involvement in all aspects of the preconstruction stage to include health and safety, technical submissions, construction drawing production, prefabrication, building control submissions and the management of the projects commissioning phase
  • Undertake project work by taking responsibility for the preparation of engineering designs for mechanical installations and systems such as the sizing of pipes for ventilation systems, hot and cold water equipment and facilities, etc.
  • Data manipulation of original drawings according to the revision of the specification
  • Conduct independent reading and research to ensure drawing/specification accuracy
  • Manage the complete interface for our contractors in relation to their specialist packages
  • Management the procurement process for each mechanical package
  • Ensure that quality assurance procedures are fully implemented for each project in accordance with both Company and client requirements
  • Proactively enhance and improve the service delivered by Sensori Facilities Management
  • Support the Projects Division in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establishing exceptional working relationships with both your colleagues and the client
  • Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Intermediate with a degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a fast-paced construction environment
  • A working knowledge of CAD functionality with MS Office experience
  • Ability to use IT based calculations and spreadsheet software
  • Health & Safety awareness with an understanding of the legislation and required standards
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritise their own workload
