Procurement Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sourcing and costing of materials for all workstreams and key accounts while maintaining strong relations with new, existing and potential suppliers. They will ensure that the business receives high quality materials at the best prices at all times. The successful applicant will be based in our Dublin office on a full-time basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research and identify prospective suppliers while liaising with existing suppliers to ensure that strong business relationships are being maintained
  • Support the wider team to ensure that all suppliers have the appropriate accreditations and insurance cover
  • Ensure that due diligence is completed in the preorder environment in terms of supplier risk assessments and budgetary alignment
  • Liaise with all Facilities and Maintenance Teams to include Key Account Managers (where applicable) to determine product specification, lead times, logistics and relay information to the relevant parties.
  • Support the Procurement & Fleet Co-Ordinator as and when required
  • Manage internal requisitions and request multiple quotes to ensure the best price
  • Draft purchase orders and issue to the relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns as they arise
  • Liaise with the Facilities and Maintenance Teams by getting feedback on the quality of products and materials to ensure they are of the highest standards prior to making any repeat purchases
  • Forecast price and market trends while identifying key changes that may impact on purchasing and give feedback to the Procurement Manager for consideration and further analysis
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve the departments financial objectives
  • Keep up to date on market trends and innovations, regulations and new technology which may have an impact on how the business will function in the future
  • Identify potential areas of improvement based on observations and make recommendations to the Procurement Manager
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Procurement Department to include the management of the shared inbox inclusive of the shared management of the invoice register
  • Understand the range and depth of the services provided by Sensori FM with the eagerness to further develop your knowledge of the business and the services we provide
  • Support the Company in promoting a culture of excellent customer service and establish exceptional working relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Act as a brand ambassador and lead the Company through its ongoing expansion
  • Any other duties as deemed necessary for the efficiency of the business

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • A FETAC Level 6 qualification in Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fast paced commercial environment
  • Ability to make decisions & handle pressure in a changing environment as the business grows
  • Solid commercial and financial awareness with strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical and planning ability with exceptional numeracy skills
  • People management experience with a Approachable with a pleasant disposition
